Plans change—we get it! In most cases, reservations can be cancelled up to 48 hours before your scheduled service with no penalty. We try to be as flexible as possible, but some exceptions may apply based on timing, group size, or special event bookings.

We always recommend giving yourself a smooth runway to take off—YVRA suggests arriving at least 2 hours before your flight. With a smaller terminal and limited TSA screening lanes, things can back up quickly—especially during peak travel times.
From Steamboat’s Mountain Area, expect about a 45-minute drive to the airport in normal conditions. But this is Colorado—weather and traffic can change in a flash, so it’s smart to build in some extra buffer time.

We believe that great service should speak for itself—so gratuity is not included, but it’s always greatly appreciated. Our drivers go the extra mile (literally and figuratively), and many of our passengers choose to show their appreciation with a tip.
While tips are entirely at your discretion, a typical gratuity ranges from 15% to 25% of the reservation cost. You can prearrange gratuity at the time of booking, or tip your driver directly with cash or cash apps such as Venmo, and Zelle are likely welcome. Just confirm with your driver.

No worries—we’re keeping an eye on the skies! We monitor all incoming flights and do our absolute best to adjust for delays. That said, it’s important that you provide accurate flight details at the time of booking, and we ask that you notify us of any updated arrival times as soon as they’re available.

We know travel can be unpredictable—if you miss your flight, don’t panic! Just notify us by text, email, or phone within 24 hours before or after your scheduled travel date, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your new travel plans.
That said, please note that we can’t be held responsible for missed flights due to weather, traffic, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. Any expenses related to missed flights or travel connections are the responsibility of the passenger.
For added peace of mind, we recommend travel insurance—because life happens, and having a backup plan is always a smart move.

By booking a ride, you’re agreeing to these terms, so buckle up (safely, of course) and let’s make your journey exceptional.
We will be tracking your flight status. Upon arrival, we will communicate with you via text message or email. Proceed to get your luggage and let us know when you are ready to go. If you have not received communication from us, please call at 970.422.7070.
For all Private transfer services if we have not received communications from you within 30 minutes of your arrival your reservation will be considered a no show and non-refundable. Please communicate any delays to us after your flights arrival, wait charges may apply for delays beyond an hour after your flights arrival time.
Private Transfers may include a 5 minute complimentary stop along the route to your final destination based on availability. Any time beyond the initial 5 minutes may be billed at $25.00 per 15 minute increments.
If we don’t have a way to communicate with you and you choose a different transportation service upon arrival, your reservation is non-refundable.
Confirm all departure reservations 24 hours in advance.
Please stay informed of potential weather delays or high traffic snow days and reschedule your departure time if necessary.
Animals/pets shall not be transported without prior approval. Service animals traveling with their masters will be transported. Service animals shall be under the control of their masters at all times. Emerald Express will not be responsible for loss or injury to these animals, nor for injury or damage to any person or property caused by the actions of these animals.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the trip will be refunded 100% of the total amount charged or can be transferable.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the originally booked ground transportation service are NON-REFUNDABLE. Changes to a reservation are possible up to 24 hours in advance, after which the change will be considered a last-minute cancellation and a new reservation will need to be made for the updated date and time.
No-shows will forfeit the full fare. For departures Private SUV’s and Private Van’s the scheduled driver will wait 15 minutes, if no communication is established we determine the reservation to be a no-show.

We reserve the right to substitute vehicles on any trip.
We are committed to the safety of all passengers, especially young children. In compliance with Colorado state law and industry best practices, appropriate child restraints must be used based on a child’s age, weight, and height.
Passengers may provide their own car seats or booster seats, or request one from Emerald Express with advanced notice. A $20.00 sanitization and rental fee applies for each car seat provided by Emerald Express.
Car seat guidelines are as follows:
Car seats must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. While our drivers are not permitted to install car seats, they will provide reasonable assistance if needed. Car seats should be placed in the rear seat whenever possible.
To request a car seat rental, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled transportation.
While we strive to provide prompt and reliable service, delays may occur due to factors beyond our control such as weather conditions, road closures, heavy traffic, accidents, strikes, or other civil disruptions. We make every reasonable effort to adapt our operations to these challenges, including adjusting schedules or rerouting as necessary, but in some cases, cancellations, diversions, or delays may be unavoidable.
Such “Force Majeure” events include:
Rebooking your delayed/cancelled transportation service
When your ground transportation service is canceled or delayed, we will rebook you on the next available service with available seats. If you decide not to use our service because it was cancelled or delayed, the remaining value of your paid transportation service will be refunded.
As soon as the events hindering our operations have ceased, we will put everything in motion to take delayed passengers to their destination. If delayed passengers who had not cancelled when informed of the delays, have elected to find an alternative to get to their destination, they will be considered no-show and their reservation will not be refundable.
Oversized or excessive luggage may require advance notice and could incur extra fees.

Your baggage may show evidence of wear based on normal handling. Even the most expensive baggage will suffer from many flights and trips and its resistance will be affected. Poorly constructed baggage may have short lives when handled and stacked by employees of airlines and other transportation modes. Baggage will be stacked in the cargo area of our vehicles. Do not leave fragile items in the baggage loaded in the cargo space of our vehicles.

We reserve the right to refuse transportation to any person who, in the opinion of a driver in charge of the transportation, is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs, is suffering from a contagious disease, is behaving in a manner considered to be offensive, or presents a risk to himself, herself, other passengers, third parties, or the driver. Such refusal shall not be based on religious, ethnic, or any other discriminatory characteristic prohibited by law.
Smoking/Vaping of any form is not allowed in any Emerald Express Transportation Inc vehicle.
